AD Flash 030 – The End of October October 30th, 2013
Happy Halloween, tonight we bring you a bit of flash fiction to celebrate the holiday. This is  more of a mood piece than a story-driven plot, but I really like how it came out. It takes a couple of (non-mystical) memories I have from October nights and turned into a sweet love letter to Autumn and Halloween.

As Shalla and Veera watched, their eyes grew wide with surprise. Once the show was done and the girls were over their uncontrollable laughter Larna said, “We’ve got a week before Halloween and all we need now is some sound effects and Veera, you’re going to be the bait.†Veera laughed, “Oh, this will be a fun Halloween!â€

Jethric rode his horse quickly through the darkness, his heart beating faster, his mind racing. He looked up at the moon, so high in the night sky, and the cougar felt his nervousness growing. Cursing himself once again for his mistake, he pushed onward. He knew must get there soon; there was no time to waste… If he got there too late, could he stop them? Could he hold back the ritual?
